GM to KILL Chevy Cruze

2019 will be the last year of the Chevy Cruze, which is among the top 5 rated cars to purchase. Just my two cents, but it would not be on my top 5 list! Getting back to the death of the Chevy Cruze. The vehicle has a 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty; 5 year powertrain. The 3 year mark is where you will start experiencing issues (water pump failure, replacement of the Valve Cover due to PCV system incorporated, Thermostat Housing, etc). These 3 items often are a one ticket Work Order deal; to the tune of @ $850.00 to $1000.00. This vehicle relates to my previous topic of economic vehicles today and the abundance of that great use of plastic. Not to mention the clever engineering of about 3 year/ 36,000 mile durability. The Car Industry understands effective marketing strategy, thus making money. Not to bash this popular vehicle, there are many others to add to the bashing list. This is to get you, the consumer, thinking about what is important to you when purchasing a vehicle. With a 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty, maybe a lease would be a better option in the long run. Can you purchase an extended warranty? Check Consumer Report on vehicles of interest. So long to the Cruze...I'm not sorry to see you go.
